This video would have more value if you would've made your graphic follow the music. You start the music way before you show the first position.. It keeps going, so I can't keep up. Don't know when you are pressing the root note. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.
Thanks for the feedback. Newer videos start together
Thanks for,this video
G Major same like EM??
Yes
I'd like to know if it depends on the chord progression or something else that makes the pentatonic scale more suitable to use instead of, for example, the major scale.
When it comes to choosing between the pentatonic scale and the major scale, it really comes down to personal preference and the sound you're aiming for. There's no hard and fast rule; it's more about the vibe you want to create. Personally, I enjoy incorporating the pentatonic scale because it often brings a unique flavor and is widely appreciated by audiences. However, don't let that limit you-feel free to use whichever scale resonates with you the most. Ultimately, your choice should reflect your musical style and what you find most inspiring. 🎶
Thank you very much !
why there is not F note in first position?
This is the shape of the closed major scale. With F, it would be the open shape. Both are correct, it's just a matter of preference.
Wow, I wish I had this when I was a kid learning to play guitar. It would have made things so much easier.
That's true! Today's times are much easier.
Thank you:)
Like the C minor backing track?
nice
only 51k views? I feel like 5k must be from me lol I love you bro and your work :)
Thank you 🙏
i have a question should i start with the C string if it is a C major?
You don't necessarily need to start with the C string when playing in C major, but you should emphasize the C note to characterize the scale. The note C is the tonic of the C major scale and provides the harmonic and melodic foundation for the piece. So, while you can start with any note in the scale, highlighting the C note will help define the tonality.
All 5 can pull out a Melody, fun to experiment even of your not hitting the tonic on beat 1 for any chord. Well, almost. 😊 great recording!
Greetings... I apologize...for I'm not grasping this concept. Does this mean instead of playing the G chord...I should be playing the notes of a G chord? As in GBD...1st 3rd 5th notes? Sorry...I'm new, and yes I did ask recently. I'm not sure how to use the notes in the G Major Pentatonic...and somehow use with the chords. I'm not sure... Can this be simplified so I can understand what is presented. Yes, I'm a beginner. Thanks in advance.👍 Kindness.
Absolutely, I'd be happy to help clarify this for you! When playing solos, you can use any note from the G Major Pentatonic scale. This scale includes the notes G, A, B, D, and E. So, in the key of G Major: - **G** (1st) - **A** (2nd) - **B** (3rd) - **D** (5th) - **E** (6th) If you use only the notes G, B, and D, you are focusing on the triad (1st, 3rd, and 5th notes), which forms the G major chord. This is another topic related to chord construction and harmony. For solos, think of the pentatonic scale as your playground. You can use any combination of these five notes to create melodies that fit within the G major context. Just imagine it as having more colors to paint with beyond the basic G chord. Let me know if this helps simplify things a bit! 🎸
Wer sich zu fest an die Pentatonik festklebt ist auch nur ein Affe. Kreativität ist gefragt. Aber zum üben allemal! Immerhin stimmt die Stimmung der Musik perfekt a la Kammerton A.
Very nice backing track 🎉
Man, I dearly love this track! Great rhythm and bpm.
This sounds pretty good! I believe many songs are based on this key and progression! Personally, I've created several songs and themes based on this. Thank you for putting this out there! 👍
Greetings. As a beginner on acoustic guitar. Please, how do I start using your backing tracks? I understand the chords... I VI IV V (1 C 6 Am 4 F 5 G) Solo or playing single notes/arpeggios is where I'm lost. Thanks for any advice. I see you're from Brazil. Respectfully...Aryton Senna, what a driver, and family man. 🤝
You can practice solos according to the shapes that appear, or use another scale that you know. You can also practice arpeggios, create arrangements... Yes, I'm from Brazil. Senna was really incredible. Greetings
@GuitarLessonsTV ...Obrigado. Appreciate your comment and replying. Kindness.🤝👍
Even the rhythm is kool.
50 years of playing and I never really learned to play lead. Now I am 100% committed. These lessons are perfect for me. Thanks, brother. It's never to later to teach an ole dog new tricks.😂
I am very happy to help you learn. This type of comment is what makes us continue creating content.
@GuitarLessonsTV truly if this was around when I was young I might have been a musician. I play for the pure joy of making music. Thank you again.
Can ask for permission to play this track at a show in Harare Zimbabwe. This is beautiful

Great lesson and backing track for soloing and improvising. Thanks!
Nice. I enjoyed playing G major scale (not pentatonic)
no dont play full major, it's not pop anymore :>
@@cleangoblin2021 I didn't read that it has to be pop. I played in major scale and it sounded good.
Love this one
Excellentissime 👍👏👏👏
Thanks for this video. I want to share a light bulb moment that I just discovered! You might say DUGHHHH, but a year into my guitar journey. I just realized that the triads are all part of the pentatonic scales!
I'm happy to follow your progress! I've been wanting to make a video about triads for a long time, but no creative ideas have come up.
@GuitarLessonsTV Yes, it's an eye-opening experience to see each form is a gove fitting for the new learning task. I look forward to watching it.
Valuable site , thank you.
Thanks
Хорошая работа! Спасибо!
What is pantatonic ???❤❤❤
A pentatonic scale is a musical scale with five notes per octave, in contrast to the traditional seven-note scales. It's commonly used in various music genres, including blues, jazz, rock, and folk music, due to its simplicity and pleasing sound. The most well-known types are the major and minor pentatonic scales. By focusing on these five notes, musicians can create melodies that are easily memorable and have a universal appeal.
@GuitarLessonsTV okay, how many scales. Do you know ♥️♥️♥️

Strum pattern ?
When I search for g major penatonic scale some videos and pictures show the C and F# notes aswell. Should those notes be played while soloing? If not what is the reason they are shown at this specific scale. Im so confused can you please answer 😭🙏🏼
nvm I got it apparently major scale and major pentatonic scale are not the same scales and they are played differently. music is hard...
@mertnural3184 exactly G major natural is G - A - B - C - D - E - F# and the pentatonic is G - A - B - D - E. We remove the VI and Vii
Your guitar is playing an F# major chord here.
Terimakasih banyak kawan sangat membantu ❤
Muito legal pra improvisar
Muito toooooopp
love this method! seeing the different positions is awesome!! helps big time with solos and learning!! Thank you! 🔥
